چکیده
Damage of high-strength bolt (DHSB) is inevitable during long-term use. Such damage irreversible that may not be replaced in time, and the potential danger proven by changes mechanical properties DHSB. To investigate DHSB, this paper uses software ABAQUS to simulate stress various types DHSB under earthquake, compares with undamaged bolts (UDHSB). The results show most unfavorable position crack at bottom second ring thread. model shorter length will have greater concentration displacement deformation. more number cracks, concentrated value. generated tooth deformation top thread tooth, tooth. Changing shape appropriate beneficial reduce degree damage. Bolt double harm, timely replacement damaged very time-sensitive necessary.

Prediction of Human Vertebral Compressive Strength Using Quantitative Computed Tomography Based Nonlinear Finite Element Method
Introduction: Because of the importance of vertebral compressive fracture (VCF) role in increasing the patients’ death rate and reducing their quality of life, many studies have been conducted for a noninvasive prediction of vertebral compressive strength based on bone mineral density (BMD) determination and recently finite element analysis. In this study, QCT-voxel based nonlinear finite eleme...

A dynamic analysis method is firstly presented to make up the present methods for calculating the strength of the cylindrical gear pair. The transient stress distribution and variation in the process of gear meshing can be obtained by dynamic simulation, the maximum bending stress, the maximum tooth contact stress and the corresponding worst meshing locations of the gear pair can be also accura...
متن کاملFailure Prediction during uniaxial Superplastic Tension using Finite Element Method
Superplastic materials show a very high ductility. This is due to both peculiar process conditions and material intrinsic characteristics. However, a number of superplastic materials are subjected to cavitation during superplastic deformation. Evidently, extensive cavitation imposes significant limitations on their commercial application. The deformation and failure of superplastic sheet metals...
متن کاملNumerical Simulation on Seismic Response of the Filled Joint under High Amplitude Stress Waves Using Finite-Discrete Element Method (FDEM)
This paper numerically investigates the seismic response of the filled joint under high amplitude stress waves using the combined finite-discrete element method (FDEM). A thin layer of independent polygonal particles are used to simulate the joint fillings. Each particle is meshed using the Delaunay triangulation scheme and can be crushed when the load exceeds its strength. The propagation of t...
متن کاملNumerical investigation on the pullout shear strength of soil-nail interface using finite element method
Soil nailing is a popular reinforcement method for stabilizing slopes, excavations, and retaining walls in many countries. The pullout capacity of the soil-nail interface is a critical parameter for the design and safety assessment of soil-nailed systems. In this paper, a three-dimensional (3D) finite element (FE) model is developed using the commercial program ABAQUS to simulate the pullout te...
